Wendy Grace
Wendy Grace combines her sculpture training with her unique sense of color to create artistic, seductive jewelry. Well known for her surprising color combinations, she integrates luxurious gemstones with sterling silver or gold, resulting in a distinct collection of contemporary jewelry. Grace emphasizes a sleek, yet handmade look. Her work is a synthesis of contrasting aesthetics: delicate yet bold, elegant yet playful, organic yet modern. Some of her favorite gemstones include: apatite, diamond cut carnelians, garnets, rubies, sapphires, and vibrant tourmalines.
"I'm inspired by the delicacy and strength of fine metals, and the colorful, natural beauty of gemstones."
Grace began her career as a Sculptor. After studying Fine Arts at UCLA and Parsons School of Design in New York City, she exhibited her work in galleries and museums across the country. Her transition from fine artist to jewelry designer was a natural progression as she moved from working with base metal to precious metal in smaller, more intimate forms.
Grace's line was launched in August of 1998 in New York City. Since then, she has gained a loyal following. Her jewelry is sold in specialty and high-end boutiques, and department stores across the country and abroad. Grace's fresh approach to jewelry design has caught the attention of high-profile fashion magazines and industry press where her jewelry is frequently featured.
Her jewelry is owned by celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Kirsten Dunst, Allison Janney, and Cindy Crawford, and can often be seen on the runway during New York City's Seventh on Sixth fashion shows. Other celebrities seen wearing Grace's jewelry include Britney Spears, Kristen Davis, and Ivanka Trump.
