Dara Ettinger

Dara Ettinger: designer, tastemaker and visionary, grew up in a world of imagination and inspi- ration. At a young age, Dara began creating sophisticated clothing designs and accessories for her dolls and even kept a garment sketchbook with specific details on each style. This fervent creative passion lead Dara to the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City. Inspired by the fashion industry and her love of accessories, Dara began to develop a clear under- standing of her vision. With internships at hand in esteemed fashion houses such as Michael Kors and Tess Giberson of Tse Cashmere, Dara began to make her mark in the fashion world.

After leaving Parsons, Dara was quickly noticed and recruited by prominent brands such as Ralph Lauren, Anthropologie and Cynthia Steffe to oversee all aspects of design from proper fit construction to product development. It was during this time that Dara began to express her ability for personal style and utilize her critical eye by working in the film industry as a wardrobe stylist. Using clothes and accessories to create period and historical costumes and working with the human form, Dara learned the importance of fit and how to captivate emotion through fashion. Continuing her pursuit as an artist and creator, Dara moved to Venice, California in December 2007 to transcend her love of fashion into her very own jewelry collection. Thus, the foundation for the Dara Ettinger brand was built.

Inspired by the beauty of nature, the urban energy and the Hollywood glamour Dara sought to create unique and precious designs that harmoniously blend minerals, stones, wood and gold. The collection embodies and creates a perfect balance between Fashion and Nature. Retail leaders such as, Fred Segal, Kitson and Bloomingdale’s quickly scooped up this vibrant, talented designer and began to promote her jewelry. Dara Ettinger’s one-of-a-kind pieces are adored globally by many A-list celebrities as her jewelry continues to expand to more specialty boutiques nationwide. Her designs are highly sought-after by top fashion stylists, editors and tastemakers.

In 2010 Dara moved back to her beloved New York to open the very first Dara Ettinger retail boutique in Brooklyn Heights, NY. She is currently working on expanding the Dara Ettinger lifestyle brand to include home accessories, gloves and small leather goods, as well as developing co-branding opportunities with legendary socialites.
